Welcome to the Emergency Budget Newsletter from Morris & Co

Billed as a 'tough but fair' Budget, Chancellor George Osborne has announced his plans to tackle the UK's record deficit while sustaining the economy.

Setting out the Government's target of bringing the current structural deficit into balance by 2016, the Chancellor said that it was on course to meet this goal a year early. However, the newly created Office for Budget Responsibility has revised down its forecasts for economic growth in the short term, cutting them from 1.3% to 1.2% for 2010, and from 2.6% to 2.3% in 2011. Public sector net borrowing is expected to be £149 billion this year, falling to £60 billion in 2013/14.

Focus On Networking Liverpool has moved to a new venue....

In keeping with our new brand identity, the members of Focus On Networking Liverpool felt a move to one of the new hotels would be a good start.

So from Wednesday 21st April we are now at the 4* Novotel, Hanover Street.

Fantasic facilities, brilliant staff, well equipped meeting rooms... what more could you ask for...

And the Breakfast choice... I don't think there is anything they don't do!

A little late but finally the Focus On Networking web site has been launched.

This, the Beta version of the new website has a new database engine to make the site faster. There will be a number of new features to come.... These will include our on-line shop, a charity page, and the opportunity to become part of the Focus On Teaam.

Look out for the "Would Like to Meet" section... where members can ask for connections... who they would like to meet...

For instance... do you know anyone in the Ticket Office at Liverpool Football Club... or maybe Peter Noden of Thorncliffe Building Supplies, Dyserth.

There will be a new Internet membership, so that companies can 'advertise' themselves via the Focus On Networking web site...
