A Companion of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management since the mid-1980s and has facilitated seminars for the ISMM and delivered training courses, workshops and seminars to retailers and sale people on Increasing Sales, Planning, Time Management, Customer Service, Managing Change and more...
His experiences have been in print too, first with the team publishing CoatHanger – the Sales Driver in 1999. He then wrote Sales Letter, a bi-monthly newsletter for the sales industry, with over 3,000 paying subscribers. He supplied content for Bite-Size Sales Tips published by Kogan Page in 2001.
A keen and active networker, he was one of the original members of the Business Referral Exchange, the UK’s second largest national business network organisation, and helped launch and grow BRX in the Northwest. He was also an active ecademy.com member giving a number of platform talks to groups of business people.
He launched Nemysys (UK) Ltd in 1999 to help companies with their internet requirements.
The Naked Salesman, (from the book of the same title), a Sales Training company, followed in 2003 to work with sales people, and continuing with Nemysys Events in 2004 – which runs successful Business to Business Events around the Northwest.
“How to be a Networking Star” - is a practical guide to business networking and is Paul’s first book. This was followed by "How to be a Breakfast Star" - a guide to networking over breakfast. A third book is in preparation.
Aware that better results are obtained by coaching - in 2007 he completed his Coaching Training with the International Coaching Academy and is now affiliated with the Institute of Leadership Management.
In 2008, with a business colleague, he has launched his own networking organisation BSB Networking Club with regular meetings throughout the Northwest. This was rebranded to Focus On Networking on the 1st February 2010 - www.focusonnetworking.co.uk
